About Us

Global Congress on Manufacturing and Management – GCMM, is a major biennial international conference for widespread dissemination of knowledge in manufacturing, management, engineering, and technology domains. GCMM is recognized as an approved conference by Excellence Research Australia (ERA). With subscription from over 20-member countries, GCMM is a non-profit organisation governed by a board comprising one academic and one industrial member from each country. Originally incepted as the Pacific Conference on Manufacturing and Management (PCMM) with 4-member countries, in the mid-90s, the body expanded and morphed into its current form in 2004 at VIT, India, the 9th held at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in 2008 – the 10th in Bangkok, thoroughly embraced in the Thai hospitality, the 11th GCMM in AUT University, Auckland, the 12th GCMM in VIT University, Vellore in the warmth of the Indian hospitality and 13th in china with grand oriental hospitality. The 14th edition of GCMM is back to Brisbane, where it is being organized in 10-year intervals. The conference is being organised by a local and an international committee and is being hosted within the School of Science and Engineering of QUT.

GCMM 2018 seeks to create a platform to discuss ways and means to promote this aspect and develop a strategic framework that could be implemented to help manufacturing companies be more prepared to embrace emerging digital business models and competitively leapfrog into the future by overcoming the pressures of mass customization and consumer pressures.
