Do you have experience in the field of transport? Would you like to start an international career within a multicultural and diverse team? If yes, then read on.

The EU is looking for highly qualified professionals in the field of transport. Recruited officials (grade AD 7) will work mainly at the European Commission, predominantly for its Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE).

As an administrator in the field of transport, your main tasks will include developing new transport policies and legislation, alongside the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of existing ones. Additionally, your role will extend to coordination, negotiation, and representation, including at international level, in the field of transport.

Furthermore, you will carry out political/policy, legal, or scientific analyses. This involves liaising with experts/committees, and translating scientific and technical analysis into relevant policy, legal, and/or operational measures. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing budgetary and financial aspects, as well as managing projects in the field.

Do you have what it takes?

To apply, you must be an EU citizen, have a thorough knowledge of one official EU language and a satisfactory knowledge of a different official EU language. One of the languages must be English.

You must also have:

  • a university degree of at least 3 years in law, economics, engineering, transport, logistics, or political science, followed by at least 7 years of relevant professional experience.

or

  • a university degree of at least 4 years in law, economics, engineering, transport, logistics, or political science, followed by at least 6 years of relevant professional experience.

or

  • a university degree of at least 3 years in a field other than the ones listed above, followed by at least 9 years of relevant professional experience.
