The Role

At Last Mile Health (LMH), we are all stewards of our reputation and resources. Do you have extensive experience in supply chain management and are capable of handling multiple internal and external stakeholders? If so, then you may be our next Supply Chain Operations Manager.

Reporting to the Director of Operations (DOPS), the Supply Chain Operations Manager will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Last Mile Health restock processes and oversee the running of our facilities. The Supply Chain Operations Manager would also coordinate the travels and visits of staff and guests traveling to and within Liberia and provide support where needed to staff traveling outside Liberia.

This position is open to Liberian National Candidates.

What you'll do

  • Support the County Programs teams in ordering medical commodities and non-medical commodities.
    • Review and analyze inventory data.
    • Help determine consumption.
    • Track high-demand commodities.
  • Review, with the County Program, medical commodities distribution forms data, including digitally collected, paper-based collection, and waybills.
  • Update, maintain, and analyze a complex medical commodity tracking database.
  • Ensure good warehousing and inventory management systems are implemented and storage facilities meet standards.
  • Supervise assets verification process in all facilities to determine existence and condition and ensure accurately updated asset register by asset management policies.
  • Review files and facility and supply chain periodic reports to ensure accuracy and timely submission to the Director of Operations.
  • Take ownership of LMH’s medical commodities restock process.
  • Help inform decisions on international procurement vs. local procurement.
  • Improve processes for receiving, storing, ordering, and delivering products or materials to meet departments' or program's needs.
  • Set schedules for the ordering of new medical commodities.
  • Support large international procurements and distribution of new commodities.
  • Manage the annual procurement planning process, with support from Global Operations, for the Liberia Country Program.
  • Compile and analyze data from various data sources and trackers across the organization.
  • Serve as the coordinating link between Operations, the Program, The National Community Health Systems team, and external partners.
  • Work with the landlord to ensure the availability of utilities at the office and maintenance.

What you'll bring

  • BS in Operations, Supply Chain, or similar field; OR must be a Certified Pharmacist with experience in Supply Chain.
  • Has worked in Operations departments to do similar work.
  • Experience in managing medical commodities.
  • Have extensive years of experience working in Supply Chain?

  • Strong data background.
  • Experience working in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to organize and interpret data.
  • Skilled in coordination and capable of getting results out of many stakeholders.
  • Experience managing inventory, tracking orders, and understanding the supply chain.
  •  A problem solver with a solutions orientation.

Compensation for this position:

The Band for this position is LRB-3

For Liberia, the range is an annual gross of USD 25,498 to USD 39,407, dependent upon experience doing an equivalent role. Please note that compensation is subject to statutory taxes.
