Provident Fund Compliance Officer reports to the Head Compliance Section.
Responsibilities
- Reconciles monthly report transactions with the data received from the Fund Managers; checks all related transactions are recorded and rechecks cash balances from the custodian site; monitors the performance of Fund Manager’s accounts on a daily basis; ensures Global Custodian’s compliance with the set agreement. - Coordinates, follows up and responds to queries from tax authorities by providing requested forms and renewals documents and ensures that the tax amount is credited back to UNRWA account if any. - Assists Head Compliance Section in the identification and resolution of Compliance, Governance and Control issues arising from surveillance and control activities, including but not limited to: *Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data. *Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data. - Checks the management and performance fees invoices and prepares the necessary calculation sheets for the Global Custodian and the Fund Managers and makes sure that all fees are in line with the signed agreements. -Acts as a member in Central Provident Fund Humanitarian Repayable Withdrawal Committee (PFHRW), including selecting the samples for review, reviewing PFHRW applications, preparing the meetings’ minutes and executing the yearly follow up on the granted PFHRWs. - Assists the Head Compliance Section to maintain a working relationship with Investment Fund Managers; oversees asset allocation and cash balances within Provident Fund (PF) Fund Managers to ensure adequate liquidity to meet the monthly participants’ payments and rebalancing within PF. - Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Education
- A first university degree from an accredited educational institution in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration with specialization in accounting, auditing or other related fields. - Membership of internationally recognized professional institution specially CFA, CIA or CPA is desirable.

Work Experience
At least five years of responsible and relevant work experience in investment, accounting, compliance or auditing in a large governmental, international or commercial organization is required. Experience and professional knowledge in the usage of computer applications such as Excel, Word, Power Point and Access is required. Excellent command of spoken and written English and Arabic is required. A first university degree from an accredited educational institution in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration with specialization in accounting, auditing or other related fields is required. Conditions of service: -Contract Type: Fixed Term Appointment for 3 years; including 1 year probation period, with the possibility of further extension, subject to the availability of funds, satisfactory performance, and continuing need. - Grade and Salary, Grade 15 (Jordan): Monthly basic salary JD 997.30 plus special occupational allowance (SOA) of 20% of the basic salary (SOA may change from time to time). Other benefits: Other benefits include monthly Provident Fund contribution (15.4% of basic salary paid by the Agency), compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave, and dependency allowance (if applicable).
