El Centro Regional del Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo respalda las actividades de apoyo brindadas por las Oficinas de País, procurando fortalecer sus capacidades en el manejo de proyectos, formación de alianzas estratégicas y distribución del conocimiento en áreas prioritarias en América Latina y el Caribe. El Centro está integrado por un creciente equipo de profesionales y expertos que destacan en iniciativas destinadas a promover el desarrollo humano en el campo de la Gobernabilidad Democrática, Energía y Medio Ambiente, Prevención de Crisis y Recuperación, VIH/SIDA, Género, Desarrollo de Capacidades y, Reducción de la Pobreza y ODM. Adicionalmente, cuenta el equipo de Gestión de Conocimiento, encaminados a fortalecer la capacidad de los gobiernos y las comunidades, fomentar el desarrollo sostenible, y brindar apoyo para el cumplimiento de los Objetivos de Desarrollo del Milenio.

Context

The assignment will be carried out virtually (online and remote), and it will have a duration of 3 weeks. The assignment must be finalised in December 2023.

Task description

We are looking for 4 Online Volunteers who have experience in research with excellent writing and analytical skills. The task will include the following responsibilities: - Documentary review, including reports, institutional mandates and frameworks - Identify and gather complementary sources - Conduct research - Proof read documents - Develop short report on findings The Online Volunteer/s will have the opportunity to build connections with the Gender Team at UNDP's Regional Hub for Latin America and the Caribbean and learn about the ways in which research on gender equality and public institutions can support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
