JOB DESCRIPTION

Job title: Centre Incharge cum Project Officer

Department: Program Implementation

Location: Mumbai (Bhiwandi, Bhandup, Western line, Turbhe)

Project: Saksham Phase- VII

Contract Duration: Till 31st March 2024

Level Of Contact With Children: 1 – Direct contact with Children
The position holder shall be responsible to adhere & work within the ambit of Plan India’s Safeguarding Policy & Gender Equality Policies.

Summary of the position:

The position holder will be responsible for Training, placement connections, employer engagement, job-fairs, data collation, MIS, networking, diligence, workplace engagement compliance, and alumni interface, trainee and parent counselling etc.
Key responsibilities:
• Maintain and ensure day to day operations of centre.
• Conduct domain training sessions covering specified areas such as, soft skills, life-skills, job-readiness, English/workplace communication, computers, assessment, retraining, financial and digital literacy.
• Report on progress of youth and provide guidance during training periods.
• Apply various types of media into development and deliver such as Audio, Video, Computer and other print and non-print media to enhance training products and services.
• Ensure that training products are technically accurate and matched appropriately to target group.
• Conduct gender sessions/ and other value-added sessions
• Give assignments, training manual cards, guides, handbook, and books.
• Documentation and record keeping in MIS and files for enrolment youths in the centre.
• Hold career counselling and job readiness sessions.
• Record and maintain daily youth attendance and keeping a record of their absenteeism.

Eligibility:
• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in training and development management.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English, Hindi Marathi (candidates for Maharashtra positions) and Kannada language (for Bengaluru candidates).
• Ability to motivate and inspire students
• Superb track record in developing and executing successful training programs.
• Critical thinker with innovative problem-solving skills.
• Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and related business and communication tools.
• Familiar with traditional and modern training processes.
• Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
