Overview of position |
n Sunday, 10 September 2023, Storm Daniel made landfall in Libya causing severe weather conditions and catastrophic flooding in northeastern parts of the country. IOM recognizes the urgency of addressing humanitarian needs for all affected and displaced people. Therefore, in the aftermath of this emergency, the pressing need for rehabilitation of water supply, services, and access to potable water has become vital. The role of the Water Engineer Officer is pivotal in this context, as he or she is tasked to ensure that safe, clean, and functional water facilities are accessible to the flood affected population. |
