Our Ideal Candidate
The role of NRC Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) assistant is to assist in the day-to-day implementation of the ICLA information, communication, advocacy, and capacity-building activities.
Key Task and Responsibilities:
- Assist in formulation and implementation of ICLA protection advocacy strategy by developing innovative and creative written, pictorial and other informational and visibility materials and preparing respective specifications and layouts.
- Perform any other task as requested by ICLA Coordinators and PM
- Take part in mobilization and conducting of needs assessments, studies and research using focus group discussions, interviews and questionnaires.
- Collate information on government and NGO policies pertaining to refugees and host communities and monitor the general context through regular filed access to identify issues affecting refugees and host communities which relate to ICLA thematic areas.
- Establish excellent relations with project participants, including understanding their needs through regular visits and frequent contact.
- Document findings on thematic assessments and studies
- Entry of data from intake forms and photocopying and filing of all the documents related to ICLA activities (ICLA client files, project documents, training materials etc.)
- Supporting the provision of internal referrals from/to other NRC core competencies and conducting external referrals to other service providers
- Support the conducting of capacity building and training activities for communities, government officials and NGOs on ICLA thematic areas.
Key Education and Skills Requirements:
- 01 years of relevant working experience Cox’s Bazar camp context
- LL. B from a University recognized by the Bar Standards Board.
- Proven knowledge of Housing, land, and property (HLP) law and practice.
- Extensive experience working in the field with displaced and/or vulnerable groups and communities and government authorities.
- Previous experience in the Rohingya response.
- Oral proficiency in Chittagonian language.
