About the Role:

myAgro seeks an experienced leader for the role of Country Director in Côte d’Ivoire. You will oversee our long-term program strategy, driving expansion, innovation, and establishing myAgro as a leader in supporting small farmers. Primary responsibilities include operational leadership, managing administration, pilot development, budgeting, M&E, and a team of 15 staff. This key member of myAgro's Team will contribute to our strategic direction. You have a track record in managing projects and teams, developing innovative programs, and navigating growth or transition, while being comfortable with limited budgets and adopting a hands-on approach.

You will manage the administration of our core program (including developing necessary operational processes to increase efficiency during a period of growth), as well as pilot development, program budgeting, M&E, and management of 15 staff. 

 

You Will:

Responsibilities Include:

Goals for Next 2 Years in Cote d’Ivoire

  • Scale – test new operating model to reach 500 farmers in year 1 and 17,500 in year 2
  • Impact – Increase impact from $150 on average per farmer to $550 on average per farmer
  • Sustainability – Increase financial sustainability of field program through improved processes and efficient staffing ratios supported by excellent training & management
  • Organizational capacity: recruit, train and invest in the professional development of Cote d’Ivoire leadership in all key departments

Strategy, Vision, and Financial Oversight:

  • Determine goals and major strategic decisions with the CIV team, the COO,and executive team
  • With myAgro senior leadership, develop program strategy, targets and milestones to achieve myAgro’s goals
  • Develop tools, trainings, dashboards for sharing goals with the CIV team and strengthen progress, remove bottlenecks and implement strategy
  • Cultivate the values of myAgro throughout the organization

Financial Health & Reporting

  • Lead budgeting and operational planning to ensure program goals are met cost-effectively
  • Ensure compliance with national and local financial management standards, andensure efficient annual audits are carried out if requested by the Law

Special Projects

  • Develop and implement an HR incentive structure following myAgro's budget and HR laws in Côte d'Ivoire
  • Work with Policy team to develop or support a government strategy of sharing myAgro’s work, getting buy in and developing potential opportunities (on a case by case basis)
  • Improve myAgro's model and impact through pilot development, M&E, and regular field visits.
  • Lead a team of 15+ staff, expanding to 50+ in the near future, to ensure delivery of a high-quality program throughout the country

 

You Have:

Required Experience:

  • French and English proficiency
  • 5+ years of professional work experience with at least 3 years in an organizational leadership role.
  • Preferably your background is a mix of corporate and non-profit roles with experience implementing projects in developing countries
  • Experience managing large budgets, collaborate with external partners, and lead teams
