Overview of position

Human Resource Project Coordinator will be required to support the Afghanistan Operations by providing human resources administrative and support to the project team.

To work with the Head of Human Resources in strategically partnering with Afghanistan project operations by providing support in the recruitment and selection of highly qualified contractors and personnel and day to day coordination for HR.

Role objectives

Operations

Act as central focus for all HR matters for the assigned project(s), this role includes being a manager, advisor and a confidant (where necessary).

In conjunction with the Project Management team and Head of HR, oversee the Grievance Procedures within for the assigned project.

Ensure all paperwork is maintained and recorded. 

In the case of terminations – ensure that the correct procedures are followed and that the advice of the Head of HR is sought at each stage.

In the event of injuries or fatalities occurring ensure that NOK, contract, medical, medical questionnaire, and passport are provided to the Insurance Coordinator.

Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with policy and Afghanistan SOP’s.

Project reporting

Policy

Manage and maintain all HR documents to meet Hart Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO:9000 standards as directed by the Head of HR.

Complete periodical audits on personnel information, job descriptions and policies for continual improvement and relevance to operational tempo. 

Legal

Ensure that all Hart Afghanistan’s HR operations are conducted within national and international laws and regulations and, additionally, in accordance with the principles laid down in the International Code of Conduct for private security     companies.  Particular attention must be paid to pre-employment checks and all individuals having the correct documentation.

Advise the Country Management team and Head of HR on any changes to Afghanistan Labour Laws.

Key competencies

Administration Skills must include - analytical, decisive but consultative; capable of innovative thinking and managing change.  Strong organisational and accounting skills.

Commercial skills – understanding of budgets, linking the strategic direction of human resources and manning budgets.

Communication skills – first class oral and written English communication skill 

Recruitment and Selection – end to end cycle of recruitment and selection activities 

Team management

The HR Coordinator will be part of the Project management team.

Further information

Must be a natural Dari / Pashto speaker

Proficient English (Speaking, Reading and Writing) Must be TOEFL / IELTS level 7 or above.

Experience working within the industry an advantage.

Experience implementing and maintaining document control.

Must have IT Skills
