JOB Description: 
The Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst will join the transversal and multi-disciplinary team of Operations analysts supporting the Security Monitoring, Cyber defence and PRS Access management operations and the application of the Council Decision (CFSP) 2021/698. The SOC Analyst will report to the SOC Manager and will have the following main tasks and responsibilities: 1) Under Service Operations: - Ensure the continuous security monitoring (SECMON) and incident reaction of all Union Space Programme components monitored at GSMC; - Ensure the cyber-defence operations of the system according to the approved baseline and policy; - Contribute to the organisation of SOM operations, including schedules, availability of operators, availability of infrastructure, and GSMC business continuity planning in coordination with other EUSPA teams; - Initiate investigation of incidents, including observations and anomaly reports, as well as attend and chair the Anomaly Review Boards; - Analyse system operational data and contribute to the reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including studies and trend analysis on the GSMC operations or service provision, to support the lessons learnt and improvement processes; - Support management of contracts providing operational support, outsourced operations or operations engineering support; 2) Under Service Transition: - Support the conception and execution of the Operational Validation and Service Validation campaigns and of the system migrations for new Infrastructure releases; - Support the development and optimisation of SOM operational procedures, processes, service operation organisation and training plans; - Support the Operations, Service and Configuration Review Boards; - Work closely with the SOM teams and other EUSPA teams for defining operational requirements and contributing to service definition documents; 3) Contribute to the Agency as a whole: - Liaise with other teams and departments to ensure the execution of related corporate tasks, such as planning, reporting, administration, financial & budget management, risk management; - Support the Agency management as needed and take on additional tasks as required in the interest of the service. The SOC Analyst will be required to be part of the “on-call” duty team and might be requested to also work on shifts. This is expected to be activated only during crisis periods and when additional front-line operators are not available. In such a circumstance, the necessary training will be organised by EUSPA and the SOC Analyst will have to pass the relevant operational training and evaluations for both roles in order to remain qualified for the post.
