The Regional Manager will report to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) who oversees the GPE management team. The selected candidate will manage one of GPE’s three regional teams, and all staff assigned to the region. He/she will set regional strategy, represent GPE in the region, coordinate high level relationships with GPE member countries and partners, and manage a diverse body of work, including a large grant portfolio, innovative finance initiatives, and global goods provided in support of GPE’s partner countries. 

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring an enabling work environment that promotes success of the team and its individual members, and for ensuring strong and effective coordination with other regional teams and the wider Secretariat.

The Regional Manager will oversee a region encompassing more than 30 countries, with allocations of roughly US$1.5 billion, and active grants nearing US$1 billion. The team would initially comprise 20+ staff and consultants but is expected to grow.

One position will be based in Paris. The other two will be based initially in either Paris or Washington, DC, but if Paris, the selected candidate will be expected to spend roughly a third of their time in DC for the first year.
