This role is fully remote but must overlap with an East Africa timezone by 4 hours.

Travel requirement: Must be able to travel ~1-2 times per year to one of our countries of operation for team retreats or field visits, unless otherwise indicated by manager

What you’ll do:

This role will drive fundraising and advocacy from our global donation and marketing partners, a fast-growing segment that currently helps us deliver over $15M/year for recipients . This partner category currently spans international donation channels, workplace and corporate giving, crowdfunding and other community-driven platforms, and more. Working with the rest of the Growth and Development team, the Growth Partner Manager will scale this new vertical and cultivate key partner relationships that unlock incremental dollars for families in poverty.

  1. Partner Engagement & Management
    1. Drive donor engagement and growth strategy for ‘third party aggregator’ (3PA)  donor segment across charity evaluators, global aggregators, workplace matchers, sponsoring organizations, Retail funders
    2. Cultivate key relationships with all existing partners and quarterback partner portfolio owned by Senior Growth Manager and others, including developing engagement touchpoints, menu of asks, and impact reporting for full partner portfolio
    3. Scope, lead outreach, and onboard new partners in collaboration with Senior Growth Manager and others
    4. Define and execute best-in-class donor experience and engagement for partner-referred donors, including directing donor data upload process, engagement comms, and retention/reactivation strategy
    5. Develop localized and community-specific expertise on partner audiences, e.g. EA, global territories, workplaces, etc.
    6. Create one-pagers, decks, event materials, etc. to support ongoing partner engagement
    7. Collaborate with Donor Experience and Finance to ensure timely and accurate donation processing and narrative reporting for 3PAs
  2. Growth Partner Expansion 
    1. Expand partner portfolio across influencers, corporates (for employee giving, cause marketing, &/or CSR grants), universities, and other B2B2C partner targets
    2. Project manage influencer relationships in collaboration with Communications team by maintaining engagement records, scoping and reaching out to new leads, and developing new touchpoints to nurture relationships
    3. Conduct due diligence and risk assessments on new and existing partners to mitigate reputational risk of public partnerships
  3. Growth Support
    1. Identify and pursue or support ongoing Growth projects and new opportunities, working closely with cross-functional teams

What you’ll bring: 

  • 4-8+ years’ experience in a fast-paced role in partnerships, marketing, agency, tech, freelance, consulting, or similar. Ideally roles involving strategic partnerships, client engagement, or B2C/B2B2C marketing.
  • Hands-on experience managing or supporting public-facing partnerships &/or public campaigns end-to-end
  • Exceptional project management, extreme attention to detail and ownership mentality, and growth mindset
  • Strong written and verbal stakeholder communication and knack for storytelling across mediums
  • Ability to translate data and industry research into actionable insights and execute against them
  • Knowledge of or eagerness to learn about global development and cash transfers
  • Experience using Google Workplace suite - Sheets, Docs, Slides

 

Compensation

At GiveDirectly, we strive to pay our employees generously and equitably. We use an accredited third party salary aggregator to ensure that staff’s total compensation package (base compensation + bonus)  falls within the 75th percentile of similar roles, at similar organizations. We also have a no negotiation policy to ensure we are paying staff equitably across roles. 

  • The United States base salary for this role is $93,500.
  • The Kenya base salary for this role is $65,000.

This role is fully remote, so if you are not based in the US or Kenya, we will share an estimated salary benchmark for the country you are based in during the hiring process.

About the hiring process

Format: The hiring process follows the same general outline for all open roles:

First interview (30 mins)Take home skills assignment (~2 hours)Second interview (1 hour)*Third interview (1 hour)*Final interview (1 hour)Reference checks (30 mins each)

*For some roles, second & third interviews are combined into a panel interview. If there are adjustments or variations on this process, those changes will be communicated during the first interview.

Venue: We conduct interviews over Google Meet with camera on (unless communicated otherwise).
